Product Description

This fantastic three-piece coin silver Medallion pattern butter dish was crafted by Gorham for George Shreve & Co., San Francisco, California circa 1855-1865. Measuring 5-1/2 inches in height at the finial by 6 inches in diameter, the dish weighs 19.03 troy ounces total weight. George Shreve & Co. was in business in California from the 1850s to 1883 and was the retailer for this striking Gorham piece.
